The Master of Science in Design for the Built Environment has an international dimension and is held in English.
The Course aims to form a figure of designer who places himself at the center of the transformative processes in the built environment, intended as a place of relationship and interaction between spaces, uses and behaviors, material and immaterial products. In this position, the designer can support the main changes in contemporary life, both on an individual and collective level, both in the public and private dimensions.
The Course forms a flexible designer able to adapt himself to the demand for constantly evolving skills, and able to move among the different fields of design, from product and service design to interior design and digital design. This presupposes a collaborative and multidisciplinary design approach typical of design, which makes use of multiple knowledge (cultural, technical-scientific, communication, representation, use and fruition aspects, historical-critical), considering its social and ethical implications.
he DBE didactic path has two different curricula, having only the first year in common.
The first year is organized around a basic training nucleus, which weaves together those fields of knowledge which are necessary for the collaborative and multidisciplinary design training and which makes use of multiple knowledge (cultural, technical-scientific, communication, representation, use and enjoyment aspects, historical-critical), considering their social and ethical implications.

The second year is divided into two different curricula:

b) Digital Design
Each curriculum is organized around a specialized training, aimed at outlining specific professional profiles, the first in the field of interior design and the fitting out of temporary spaces, the other in the field of design for the digital environment.
